Last Sunday morning, National Sales Manager Hamish Black and his son Will volunteered their time, sorting and delivering toys and books to disadvantaged children living in Sydney for The Smith Family. Of the experience, Hamish lamented, “People are really doing it tough.”
We’re often taking the presence of our Christmas presents for granted, but some children out there aren’t getting any, and most likely don’t have a tree for those presents to go under anyways. “Being able to bring joy to some children this Christmas, making kids’ wishes and dreams come true, what more could you ask for?”
Joining a troupe of volunteers, Hamish Black assisted The Smith Family deliver toys and books by the sleighload, helping to make Christmas a little brighter for some disadvantaged children. “It was a very rewarding day” says Hamish, “but as you can imagine, an eye opening one…”
The Smith Family Australian Children’s Charity helps disadvantaged children and families all over Australia. The charity provides education, training, and support services so that these children can reach their potential and build a brighter future.
